Thanks for the responses. I didn't think it would work but it was worth a shot. Johnny 3D that was an interesting thought but I think Jim's point of the PA being stationary would play a part as well wouldn't it?

They're doing it on internally on new jets and turboprop planes these days - cuts down on cabin noise. I've got a set of active noise cancelling ear buds - fantastic technology.
