This song has celtic elements in it but it's also fused with some other things. It needed a middle part, so I made some space and sent it to Larry thinking that he would add an acoustic solo. I was pleasantly surprised when he added a nice sounding electric instead. Since his part didn't cover the entire gap. I went back and added additional guitars, bagpipes in the background with a drone here and there and even a small solo. I used Platinum to mix the tracks which amounted to around 24 in the end.

What rhythm are you going for in your intermittent breaks? I loved the mix of instruments you have here, but there were many spots where things came in off time, as if your song didn't have any kind of markers or click or adherence to being quantized.
 
If that was your goal, and I think it was (a kind of elemental chaos independent of time?) then spot on. But I found myself wanting it a lot tighter in the rhythm department. Jethro Tull had some non-conventional uses of meter, but they still came in on the beat.
 
So, I'm confused, but I like it!

You're killin it, Tim in the writing department.  You seemed to have settled into a style that is comfortable for you and that you excel at.  I have several friends that would love to know you for your Celtic sensibilities.  Congrats all the way around.

What Tom says is evident in the bass line. Most everything else doesn't have enough of a transient to greatly impact the rhythmic feel, but that bass line felt off to me. Otherwise, the mix is well done and the piece is very pretty.

Hard to add anything to that really, it's a very nice piece which would be improved further by just a little 'groove', to let the listener go with the flow. Nice to hear my old pal Larry on electric! (he never writes, he never calls...)

I went into this whole thing about the song and hit the wrong button and closed before I saved.  Aaaarrgghhh.  
Sooooooooo....
1. Has a YES vibe in spots, nice!
2. Intro vocals  too quiet, but pick up where double vocal comes in about 1:20?
3. Something in the mix is bothering me, kinda like cluttered but I can't explain it.  maybe I have it up too loud.  I've listened a couple times but will go back.
4. The overall vibe of the song is wonderful.  
So, what I said in about 3 or 4 paragraphs now boiled down to 4 points.  It's really nice work Tim and Larry.

Also feeling some of the looseness Tom mentioned, but in awe of the overall loveliness of the song and performance.

Not much to add - hard to pin down where the "one" is, but I really like the arrangement and the "retro" feel.  Good stuff!
