  • All of a sudden my automation envelopes are being drawn on top of clips [SOLVED]

Opened a project that I haven't worked on for a while tonight, and all of the automation envelopes are superimposed on top of the clips in the clips pane. The edit filters in the track pane are all set to "clips."

The envelopes are drawn with thinner lines than the ones which appear in the automation lanes, and they're also darker colors (so an envelope which is bright green in the automation lane is dark green in the clip lane). Here is an example:

I figure there must be some setting or other that stops this, but I can't find it. Any ideas?

This helped me too. There must be some keyboard stroke I can fat finger to make this happen on a clip . Silly question .. why would we want this view?

I'm thinking there must have been some key I unwittingly stroked too, because there's no way in the world I have ever selected "show ghosted data."

It's hard to shift select envelopes after this accidental change. .. Another bug that isn't.

I like having the automation over the clips. I DON'T like that they are so dark I can't see them. Thinner is OK but why can't they be the same color I selected them to be?

If nothing else it would be nice to be able to change the color in Preferences.

Ok, this isn't what I thought. Display ghosted data shows the envelopes over the wave form. I always want this on in every track, and it is currently on in every track.

My problem is different. In one track, despite the selected Volume envelope, the wave form and the envelopes are dark. Usually, the selected wave form is highlighted (it is in the other tracks).

In the above image you can see that the volume envelope is selected but not highlighted. It's just frustrating. If you click on the volume envelope, it doesn't highlight (I think it thinks that it is already highlighted). So, to get the focus on volume, I shift click pan and then shift click volume.

The problem only exists on this one track.
