Some thoughts:
 
Pentagon should be fixed- I think Cakewalk should go through the presets and eliminate the valleys issue. I love the sounds but you can't hardly use it anymore for it hanging up or frying your ears when you are searching through it. RCG made some great sounds.

Colors in the matrix for sure, heck anything to make the Matrix keep me from slaving Ableton- I really want to just stay within Sonar composition through live performance
 
When I click on a clip to get into its piano roll I always have to fiddle with the sizing and focus- can it just put the notes in a preferenced zoom/focus of our choice and centered?
 
The shaped (slider?) at the top of the vertical now time covers up the measure number or beat, sometimes I gotta move it out of the way to see where I am
 
I can't delete empty midi rows from the matrix that are not needed
 
Z3TA 2    presets should have a standard volume- sure they sound great way up, but dangerous to cycle through and listen as you'll get blasted

Perhaps if you submitted some feature requests for some of the above - who knows?  They get their list of stuff to do from somewhere.

Re: the differing volume of synth presets: whenever I'm auditioning patches, I always stick a limiter on whatever bus is being used for preset audition.
 
You're in more danger of frying your monitors than you are your ears - both of which are extremely valuable of course

For Pentagon, I just went through the presets, unselected the valleys simulator and resaved them.  Didn't take that long.
 
I'll probably do the same for Z3ta's presets once I get around to it.

Also, I've been thinking this for a long while now, but after checking out Logic's new Drummer program I really think they should make some improvements to Session Drummer to make it a bit more flexible and intuitive.  Things like control over room and overhead.  A more intuitive way to work w/ and audition grooves.  Stuff like that.  I feel like it's a good tool that isn't being used to it's full potential.  Make it competitive rather than just an entry level tool to make due until you can afford more flexible alternatives like BFD, Superior, Addictive, etc.

The Pentagon "Valleys" issue, while annoying hardly makes it unusable. once you are aware of the issue its not really a problem, its a legacy plugin and I would rather have it despite a few bugs than see it dropped. I would rather see development effort go elsewhere.
 
Inconsistent volumes are hardly limited to Cakewalk VSTi - what Jonesy said on this one.
 
Session Drummer, well any thing can be improved, and I expect Cakewalk look at what the competition are doing and making business decisions accordingly. I use Superior Drummer, BFD Eco and Steven Slate 4 but SD3 seems pretty reasonable for a bundled application.
 
I can't comment on the Matrix, its a feature I do not use, however I do get the impression its a feature that could be improved. Personally I would prefer to see development effort go elsewhere, but that is just my view point.

I concur that I don't want them spending a second on a legacy plugin for an issue that is easily fixed by user. I do think they should throw out the occasional reminder to users like a readme on install that some instruments have these issues.
