Hi.
I don't know if I'm the only person experiencing this, but for some reason, Sonar X2 PE has stopped allowing me to check the "Configure as Tempo Based Effect" button anymore. It's not greyed out, it just doesn't stay checked after I hit ok. This is a HUGE problem for some of my effects. Am I missing something, or is there a work-around for this.

Thanks,
Trevor

PS: If this has been dealt with elsewhere, just let me know. The forum search engine does not work at all for me.

I can't say I've ever noticed them becoming unchecked before.   Can you try running SONAR as as admin?

It doesn't seem to matter running it as admin. And some effects will stay checked, and others won't. It doesn't seem to make any sense.

Hi Trevor,

can you give some more info ?.

What version O/S and Sonar (64/32) ?.

Example of which effects do not stay configured as tempo based ?.

Also, do they lose the setting immediately ?,
or only after a close and re-open of the project ?,
or after restarting Sonar ?.

Do you have Sonar set to scan VST folders on startup ?.

Cheers - Cliff

I've had this happen with a few specific plugins before. The solution was to manually set the value in the registry.

From regedit the path is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Cakewalk Music Software
Sonar Producer
Cakewalk VST (or VST64 if the plugin is 64-bit)
Inventory

From this list locate and select the plugin in question. There will be an entry labeled "registerAsTempoBasedEffect". Change the value from 0 to 1.

Hope this helps,
-Jon
