The lead story on the BBC news I watched earlier today was about how Channel 4 had poached (no punishment intended) some hackneyed, banal facile cookery show from the Beeb.

What?

Get a feckin' grip you imbecilic easy-to-please morons.

It just beggars belief that junk TV shows are considered news stories these days. I cannot stand all of these shallow, narcissistic reality TV "personalities" who are elevated to celebrity status simply by virtue of them being, obnoxious, talentless douchebags. Another thing that annoys me is this recent trend of the media referring to the horrible little dullards by their first names as if they are so important that there can only be ONE Jenna, Nick, Kris or whatever, and they presume that everyone knows exactly who they're talking about without having to clarify things with a surname.

About the only "reality" TV show I can watch these days is The Shark Tank (US version of Dragon's Den) because at least you see some genuinely intelligent, resourceful go-getters on there, and I love a bit of entrepreneurship. Other than that it's just documentaries and sitcoms for me, all streamed online. Recently I discovered Lucky Louie, a fantastic little comedy which got cancelled after one season because some stuck up little prudes disapproved of it. Stupid people ruin everything.

Plus the BBC isn't even bothering to try and disguise its painfully progressive/regressive left-leaning tendencies anymore. Once upon a time the Corporation would at least attempt to give the impression that its news coverage was impartial and politically/sociologically unbiased.

To remain within the CoC, I won't of course cite examples, but it isn't hard to imagine the heavily prejudiced slant they inflect on national and global stories at every opportunity.

Poor, very poor.

I thought it was because you couldn't say ***** in public without fearing retribution by those in power.

I think reality shows are just bad actors who finally found a way to get work.
