I know we have users from around the world. I am sure each takes pride in their respective countries.

Added to my sorrow is the fact that CW is a really good Daw Made in USA.
Guess it's just the viet nam Vet in me. Oh well.

I think it's the "Made in the USA" that has Stratman waxing nostalgic.

Well first it's CW and Sonar and and more than 2 decades But, Yes it's the Made in the USA.

Why is that "not cool" these days?  IF so, that's really sad.

Cakewalk is something to be proud of. The American War in Vietnam, not so much.

Agree. It is sad to lose a USA made daw.
If it helps, we still have Reaper. It is a very good USA made daw.
Studio One Pro, while not USA made, it is managed and marketed by a USA company.

Reaper is american made and pretty sure pro tools is too if that is a strong factor for you. The fact that you mention it is made in america kind of makes me sad because it a a reminder that US is falling slowly from it's apex point.

All made in the USA:

Mixcraft
Digital Performer
Reaper
Pro Tools
Acid Pro

Studio One's development team is in Germany, but the product is marketed, sold, and supported by an American company.
