Hello

So I make experimental music and here is my issue with Panning in my copy of sonar.

I cannot hard pan left when playing through or after something is record in Sonar.

I have a mixer that runs into a sound card that runs into Sonar and then soundcard sends audio into monitors.

Say I take a stereo field recording which a distinct left and right and run it into my mixer on a stereo input. The mixer meter reads left and right and if hard panned will pick up signal on whatever is panned. If you plug headphones in, you can head this. Same if you run a mono signal and hard pan, sound is still head through phones on mixer left and right.

While doing this and looking at Sonars meter, it also reads perfectly. But a hard pan, though registered on the meter, is silent.

So let's say that distinctly stereo field recording is panned hard left on mixer OR Sonar track, the sound goes blank. If I begin to move it to, say, 98% left there starts to have a little sound in left and a little in right.

Basically what the hell is going on. How do I activate true stereo?
