What you describe is typical of all my Sonar problems. It worked yesterday and today it's toast. I can't replicate your problem on my system and that's also part of the Sonar trip. It seems that their are unique problems to deal with that can't be replicated on other systems. It sucks, but you're far from alone.

Sucks doesn't it. Being a logical person I know there must be some logical explanation. But at the same time, meh.

@Sharke - can you tell me what versions of the Drummer apps you have?

I am about 45 minutes from being able to see what it looks like on my system.

I'm not sure there are "versions" of the Drummer libraries, at least I cannot see versions listed on them. I'm using Kontakt  version 5.2.0.6361.

I went back and looked at the emails they sent me, because I had bought Komplete 8 Ultimate PRIOR to those components being ready for them to include in the product when it first came out.

SOOOO, they sent emails out with download instructions and all of that.

Anyways, I am going to take about a 30 minute break, then will get onto MY computer and start looking into all of this.

(I have been going non-stop since 3:30 this morning, and have lots to still do)

Yeah I think Ultimate 8 was originally shipped with only the "Drums" versions, and the "Drummer" libraries were given away as a free download for Komplete owners not long afterwards. I think they were out when I bought Komplete, but they weren't on the disc - I still had to download them separately.

Yup - that's how my brain recalls the whole thing too.

Unfortunately, we haven't fixed your situation as of yet.  I fear I have run out of brain and muscle control, so I will have to pick this up in the AM - sorry, as a famous Canadian once said (Winnie the Pooh), Oh bother! (he, and I, are bears of very little brain).

You could be mega mind and still get stumped by Sonar. I think this is a personal issue for sharke, no voodoo will fix it. I get some little riff going and one day it just won't load. I usually go to my folders and pull out the audio and midi to create a new project. That's my go-to fix for projects gone bad.

Thanks Bob, although I have a feeling you won't be able to reproduce my problem at your end, it's just a totally bizarre thing that's happened spontaneously after about a year of using the software with no problem.

I've had to do that a few times. Weird bugs and corruptions seem to build up in a project over time to the point where it becomes unstable and I don't feel comfortable working with it any more.

well its either just give up or try.
I remember an issue with guitar rig a few weeks back, I think he was able to resolve it (I might be wrong)
but rather than just say its voodoo, a personal issue and wrap it up.
its worth trying to give it a positive shot  :)
im sorry about your problems john, hope it all works out someday with an update or upgrade.
sucks trying to make music and have problems.
but rather than share in the misery sometimes we got to give it a shot man.
unfortunately, this is not my bag  :)  so some mere moral support I can give.

"its got to be something..." !!!!
:)

good luck on this guys.
