Parralax Audio makes a great tool called Virtual Sound Stage for placing virtual instruments in a mix, and it's very reasonably priced at $99. Lots of positive feedback from the Virtual Instruments Control forum. Sonar is not a common DAW for that crowd, though, so I thought I'd ask here also if anyone is successfully using VSS in Sonar X1 or X2. As always, your feedback is appreciated.

Looks interesting. There's a demo. I'll give it a go.

Just started experimenting with it. X2a here. No problems but using many instances in an orchestral setup. They recommend using it as an insert then sending to a overall room reverb tail. Instrument to dedicated VSS bus with insert. Send from VSS bus to Reverb tail. Route Reverb tail to master. Route from VSS bus to master. Seems to work nicely. CPU not stressed with 6 instances (so far) of VSS.

Every sound library is different using different blendings of dry sources, reverbs & positioning. The presets in VSS act as ER's designed to behave as if each library is on the same stage together with the same positioning.
These ER's are then all fed into the verb tail.
