When i mix with ProChannel modules, my mixes get a pretty good dimension. I really really love this  and my client always very happy when i did mix with PC modules. So what is the mystery behind this? I sometimes mix on Pro tools with lots of expensive plug-ins ( like Duende Native Bundle, etc..) but no way.. never get this unique "dimension". Is it workflow or something else?

If you read up on the PC modules I think it becomes obvious that CW went a lot of effect in order to model these modules as close to the original as they could. I also think they were after the sound and not just a pretty GUI.

Hi all,i have posted many times that my clients have begun to choose Sonar prj over Protools for its dimensional and warm sound.
It's only my experience.

I don't see why Cakewalk would want to be anything but Transparent-sounding, but as far as the plug-ins go, sure, I'll buy that. I prefer a larger interface for my plugs, but I get great results from Sonar. BUt just as well, I got great results from ProTools, Cubase, etc. I just find Sonar a little easier to get what I want in the mix.

I used to disagree but after giving them a fair shot, your absolutely correct.
cake did a great job with those modules, they seem to have nailed down the compression very well as some of my fav's of all time.

The CA-2A is really nice! All the PC modules are really pretty damned good.

And here I thought I was getting better ...  It must be the ProChannel.  But they are good stuff.  CA2, ssl bus and the eq all outstanding.

It's good to see another positive thread.

I agree, the ProChannel  is great.  All of the modules get used here, with always something on every track.  The CA-2A is particularly nice, but I like them all, even the 4K Channel Compressor, which took me a while to get into, but now use a lot.

I guess they are modelled well, and the workflow makes it so easy to set up a channel and get the right sound.  Switching modules in and out, being able to see them all together so easily without cluttering up the screen with VST GUIs, intuitive controls, just make dialling in great tones a gas.

I don't know if it's my advancing years, but I find the GUIs so easy to use, I guess because they are modelled on analogue units - they just seem so familiar and comfortable for me to use.

First I´ve been sceptical about the pro channel modules,
but now I find myself more and more in the situation,to use the PC modules cause they simply work better .
The CA2A,the eq´s and the console emulation are  my highlights

Cakewalk helps me see everything in a single view, and Pro Channel is a key part of this. A couple of days ago, I was mixing with my laptop in my lap on the Track View and the Dock floated up to my touch screen just above my laptop screen with all Pro Channels showing. I could really see everything at once. (You all probably know this, but in the Console View if you control click to expand a PC on the left, all the tracks to the right also expand.) I could see track view below with my wave forms over time (laptop screen), showing the wave form output on the main bus as I auditioned. I could see all the faders and fx in the PC in the external monitor.

For me, just being able to see everything at once makes diagnosing MUCH easier. I had been puzzled why the mix downs were suddenly not using all of the available bits ever and I was looking for a compressor that was over compressing or some other cause. Then my eyes fell on the master fader which had come down from Unity (0)... probably a spin of the mouse-wheel when the focus wasn't where I thought it was.

So, am I praising Console View and Pro Channel together? I think I am.

I fixed it with a double tap of my finger on the screen.
