Bye. It must be really hard for people to simply stop using a product without making a grand diva exit.

Hmm.. I rather think it is a try to get X2b "on the table".

If he is one of the people that has been hit by some bugs and never has been able to use the software he bought in full potential, I think it is reasonable to expect at least a bug-fix before forking out money for a brand new release. If he has to pay a full upgrade to get those bug-fixes he is waiting for, it is not that strange he will consider buying software that has less bugs..

Now - don't get me wrong - I myself did not encounter anything that was not solvable with X2, although I must admit I only used X2 for a full trial period (I am still on X1, mostly for financial reasons because I had to upgrade my hardware and other software as well). It seems, however, some people had more than their share of problems with X2.

I have the feeling X2b will not show up (I would love to be wrong here), and the next update/grade will be X3. I hope I still have some time to upgrade to X2, because a X1 to X3 upgrade will probably be too expensive for me at this moment.

Jclose..I certainly think people bave right to complain or even lobby for fixes, features, etc. I just think the grand public ultimatum is kind of dramatic and not very effective. I have my frustrations and like anyone else would certainly go to another product if this one did not meet my needs. That's business.

Hi all,i have read the "awesome"features of Logic Pro X......X like Sonar???!!! the new Virtual Drummer ???!!! But they are doing the same things as Cakewalk but very late?
Remember the "awesome!!??" per clips volume of Pro Tools 10.......
We have a great DAW (for me).....
We think with our brains is always better.

Some are vocal because after investing a lot of time and money into something it is upsetting to know that it is just not working out for them and they may need to start all over with something else.

I don't think X2 is the version that one should hang it up on at this point in time because it should be getting very close to see what direction Cake is going.

The good thing is that there are so many choices for one to give a shot when they decide to do so.
I can also understand after using nothing but PCs for so many years that switching to a Mac to try out with a new audio recording host is very intriguing.

So I've heard that they don't really pay attention to the forum, what about everyone sending a request to support under the submit a feature request:
cakewalk.com/support/contact/featurerequest.aspx

I'm not talking about everyone sending multiple request or anything malicious, just everyone sending a request for the "b" update.

I think leaving your first DAW might be like losing the one you lost your virginity to. It hurts, and you blame her... when really, you're just ready to take a spin with another.

Go spin! Unlike a jilted lover, Sonar will have you back if it doesn't work out with one of her sisters.

First an foremost if you are experiencing problems make sure you report it with plenty of detail and information using the problem reporter http://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/problemreport.aspx
Many people will have done that already, but I suspect many others have not yet done so.
While I doubt that feature requests for a patch will result in action if they contained the problem reporter numbers they may have more credibility.
