Hi there Bill, and glad to see you've got it sorted.

I just thought I'd mention that there's an easy way to know if you're running a BitBridged 32bit VST or VSTi in 64bit SONAR - at the top left of the 32bit plug-in's GUI, you will see the BitBridge icon:

Another tell-tale sign is the broken line around the 'Preset' area. Also, X-Ray won't work on a BitBridged plug.

I believe the 64-bit version of that plug-in is TruePianos_x64.dll - the error you posted refers to what looks like the 32 bit version (which would make sense since BitBridge is loading).

You're right! I didn't notice that! My mistake in loading the wrong version!
I'm glad it's my mistake. Sorry for the mac/PT rant... I really don't wanna jump ship from Cakewalk, been with them since Pro Audio 9.  Just tired of troubleshooting more often than creating

Hi - I couldn't help but notice you have a low post count, but have a high frustration level.  I would hate for you to continue to elevate your frustration when there are lots of folks here in the forum who can usually fairly quickly help sort through things, like what happened in this post.

If you have additional things in Sonar that are driving you batty, I suggest you first do a search of past forum threads, looking for similar issues with solutions, and if nothing is found go ahead and post the issue as a new thread here in the forum.  This would be a much better way to keep your frustration levels down, and your productivity up.

I do not know how good this incarnation of the forum software does, for searching for past threads, but I can tell you that the prior version of the forum software was terrible and ineffective at it.

There IS, however, a nice handy way to search through old posts, using Google.

Here is an example of a Google search parameter string that would find this thread (paste this in the address bar or in the Google search box):

site:cakewalk.com forum  teleport server stopped working

The above should return THIS thread (and others).  The 'site:cakewalk.com forum' limits Google to searching for results from Cakewalk Forums, and the rest is whatever parameters you want to search for.  In the returned results for the above search string, this thread is shown as the 2nd returned result.

So, please use the above technique to see if others have had similar issues, because there are often solutions you can find in those threads, or at least other things for you to check for.

And, as you see with this thread, folks in the forum are pretty good at lending a hand, so if searching for prior threads comes up empty, please post each issue you are having as a separate thread, and give the forum a crack at assisting.  It's usually a much happier ending than coming to a point where you want to jump ship.

This forum is one of the greatest strengths of using Cakewalk, as there are quite a few folks who not only have tremendous product and industry knowledge, they also invest large chunks of time and effort into assisting folks that are struggling with issues, such as present in this thread.

Best of luck to you,

Bob Bone

Yep, BitBridge hides the normal VST header. If you need to access the VST header, hold the SHIFT key when opening the plug-in UI. The header is in a separate window usually behind the plug-in UI. You also cannot dock the UI of a 32bit plug-in but you can dock the header. The docked header will open the UI.
