  • Has Anyone Else Got The Email For The New Mixbus 32C? (p.4)

Without a demo or refund policy, there's not much chance I'll be buying this.  I liked the original Mixbus for summing stems and mastering, but had to give it up -- the constant crashing was just too much.  Not about to shell out $$$ for something that I can't verify will run reliably on my system.

Harrison: you've got the sound, now give us proper demos of your products and you'll gain a lot more fans.

Cheers,
Eddie

Boy Eddie, I totally get it. I wasn't going to either but after watching some videos and hearing great things I bit.

The thing is, I installed MB3 and it said it was running in demo mode, and then I could expect periodic bursts of white noise. That was before I installed the license file.

So, it has a demo mode, but they are not releasing a demo...

PS: It has some quirks, but damn I like the workflow on this thing. It is sort of what I have always hoped the Console view in Sonar would become, but never seem to quite get there.

Mixbus actually has some very cool and convenient features when you explore the menus (especially the right click context menus). A lot of stuff that Cake would do well to adopt.

You're right, Sharke. I remember when I found out that I could change the size of the text on the mixer! I know, it might be a little thing to some, but I was happy about it.

Another DAW? Soon there will as many DAW's as there are plug-ins. Then what?

It was nice to have this question answered directly from Ben, the Mixbus Product Manager:

"MB3 and MB32C are identical except for the EQ and the 4 additional buses. The EQ is completely different, and since every channel goes through the EQ, it results in a different sound.
Best, -Ben"

Can someone answer this as I am slightly confused. Is MB32C an add-on for MB3 or is it completely different install and different program. Which looks similar of course to MB3 and has the extra buses and a different channel EQ. Am I right in thinking you open up MB3 or MB32C depending on what you want to do.

If so, it is a pity that it is not or could be made part of MB3. That seems more logical to me.
