Sigh...I still remember the excitement and joy learning the secrets of Cakewalk Apprentice over 20 years ago. That modest looking floppy opened a whole new world to me.
To me, also, CW/SONAR will always be the one - first love - and now..the one that got away :o/

Studio 1 dont even come close. I see a lot of posts about Studio 1 beeing a close relative to Sonar.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Its not. Sonar vs Studio one. Sonar wins on TKO in the first round.
Not saying Studio one is bad. Just that Sonar Platinum is lightyears ahead.

Well I have an open version of Studio One Professional and I'm about to work on a new track. Lets see how it goes. Question can I post songs from other DAWS into the song forum now that Sonar has been dispanded

Yes and no. Sonar has more overall features, but studio one and sevefal other DAWS have  workflows that are more intuitive  with modern music.

with that said.  i will always love sonar too.  so many things i wish cakwalk had done differently to make it a more viable choice

Yep sad , the craziest thing is that cakewalk way ahead competitor and for exemple kinetic was maschine dna and project five also inspired a lot of other concept in a well known daw ...

And where the f ...is Cj ?
