Did that work?  I am currently mid-stride moving onto a Windows 7 64-bit system and really pulling my hair out.  I even considered upgrading to X2 but your comments and others scared me off.

Does using 32-bit plug-ins 'dumb-down' the host to 32-bits?

BTW, I am listening to Green Lights on Soundcloud as I write this -- awesome stuff, radio ready.

No, using 32bit plug-ins does not affect the operation of a 64bit host or 64bit plug-ins. You can still encounter some compatibility issues with 32bit plug-ins. Sometimes changing the bridge software to jBridge helps. Sometimes the only recourse is to avoid using the plug-in in a 64bit host.

Hey glad you like that song! Alas, that was the last project I made. My sonar issues have prevented me from making any progress. HOWEVER, with home studio 7 installed again it is working SOLID as a rock. I'm really happy and currently have a new song on the go. I'm gonna forget sonar x2 until they update it. If ever.
As for the 32 bit issue I just installed the 32 bit versions of melodyne and predator into my program files x86 folder and asked hs7 to look for them there. No problems at all.
My advice would be to NOT upgrade to sonar x2. It could be great but it's a real gamble at the moment. Works for some, but not for others. It has been completely un usable for me. Vote 'stability' for now.
