Thanks for all your help fella's. I found out the problem.
 
I hadn't selected ASIO 'Driver Mode' in Preferences. What a dummy!! 
 
On another note: Beepster, I actually live about 4 miles from Focusrtite's head office :)

Well hey... that's cool. I use nothing but ASIO but that is good to know.
 
Also the proximity to their HQ is neat. I'd probably swing by and drag them out for a pint if I wasn't an ocean and half a continent away. ;-)

Ok, so I have almost got everything sorted. Using Focusrite's Mix Control Software I can now get sound through my monitors and everything is wonderful. The only problem I face now is when assigning an input to the tracks in my project, in the drop down menu, it shows Asio 14in/14out but I am unable to go any further than that. I cannot select which input to assign to the tracks, meaning I am completely unable to record anything.
 
Any body got any ideas?
