Do you ever get this...

Go to switch from the CV to the TV using Alt+1 and nothing happens.  Repeatedly.  Then go up to the menu and select TV from the drop down and still the CV persists?  Only way to kill it is to hit the Console X at the bottom of the GUI?  Am I overlooking something?

It won't switch if you hit one of the screenset keys? If it's not responding to shortcuts, maybe it's not in focus. I never saw this happen so I'm just guessing.

Thanks for the reply.  Belive it or not, I haven't really made use of the screensets yet; someday.  I made sure the window was in focus by clicking the window title bar a few times, I had the same thought about focus, I've tricked myself that way before when my spacebar wouldn't operate the transport because I had wandered off to some other window during playback.  The really weird thing was when I mouse selected the TV from the View dropdown it still didn't come up, the CV stayed put.  Strange.  This happened on a couple of different occasions tonight, separated by normal alternating TV / CV GUI functionality.

If you have stretched the Console view over Track View, you will need to drag the top of the console view down to see the Track view, otherwise use Shift-D to toggle the full console view or collapse the multidock to see the full track view.

@scook,

So, I haven't changed the window dimensions of the CV between when the Alt+1 / Alt+2 switching does work and when it doesn't.  But I'll apply your suggestion and see if that works.  Thanks!

One other thing, you are using the numbers in above the typewriter keys and not the numeric keypad for Alt-1 and Alt-2. I also failed to mention type D to expand/collapse the current multidock tab.

pikerman, please desist from posting spurious rubbish on all the threads.

It's not big, it's not clever, and it's certainly not funny

I'm pretty sure I was using the top row number keys, I don't recall using the numeric keypad.  That matters?  Thanks.

Happened again last night.  Opened my project and the CV was on top, how I left it.  Clicked Alt+1 (using the keyboard 1, not the numeric keypad 1) and nothing happened after a number of attempts.  Using the mouse, I selected View | Track View from the menu; nothing, CV still on top.  Clicked the CV dock X and the CV was dismissed and the TV was exposed.  Now Alt+2 and Alt+1 work as expected, alternating between CV and TV respectively.

I think there must be something I'm not getting about the interaction of the dock and Alt+1 and Alt+2.  There's a precedence there?

Try "D" to collapse the console view.
