I tried to use the search function for previous posts regarding Audio Snap but it didn't show anything.  
 
I have reviewed the Cake TV video about Audio Snap.  It appears to be done in a different version than X2.  My question has to do with moving transients.  I can't seem to find the "transient tool" to move them.  
 
First, what I did is highlight a bass track and opened the Audio Snap "window".  I clicked on "Edit Clip Map" which then shows me lines which (I believe) are supposed to be the transients.  They look similar to the transients in the Cake TV video except for the middle of these marks.  On the video, the lines have a diamond in the middle and, in my project, the middle is either pointed to the left or right.  So, this leads me to believe these lines may not be transients.  Consequently, my questions are, how do I get transients marked in a clip? and, where do I find the tool to move them?

As far as I can tell, Audio Snap is enabled.  When I click on the enable/disable button in the pallette, the button turns white and the marks appear in the clip.  When I click on it again (disabling??), the button turns black and the marks disappear.  These marks, at least in comparison with the Cake TV video, are different and I am unable to move them.

Hmmmm, I've backed all the way out of Audio Snap and right click on the bass track.  There isn't an option for "enable audio snap".  In order for me to get the Audio Snap palette, I have to go to "Views > Audio Snap Palette" (or Ctrl+A).  Without clicking on Edit Clip Map, the same marks appear in the clip, which cannot be moved.  
 
These marks appear consistent with where transients should be, such as the beginning of a note or notes.  
 
You said, "If the clip has already been "Acidized" with a tempo map".  What does "acidized" mean or how would that have happened?
 
Does it make a difference if I am trying to do this as one of the "take lanes" (a subdivision of the main bass track?) I've got five "takes" for the bass line and I am just wanting to use Audio Snap on one of them,

I've got X1 on my laptop and opened a tutorial file.  I opened the Audio Snap in the same manner and got the correct transient markings in an audio track.  So, I thought I would check with another project on my main computer on which I have X2.  I highlighted an audio track, opened Audio Snap and enabled it.  No transient marks appeared.  The same occurred in other audio tracks.  So, now I wonder if my Audio Snap on Sonar X2 is functioning correctly????

Very confusing.  I restarted Sonar as well as rebooting the computer.  Now, I am able to get the right-appearing transient markers in all of my bass takes but I am still unable to move them.  
 
I've done the same in some guitar takes.  Again, the transient markers appear; however, I AM able to move these transients.  I don't understand why this appears to be working for my guitar takes but not for the bass takes??

I think I discovered something.  I was editing a guitar track and did not realize it the Track Lanes was not enabled.  I enabled the Track Lanes and found I could NOT edit in any of the "takes".  So, whatever track is in the "main" track when the Track Lanes is not edited, may be edited.  So, which one is it???  I don't know.  So, I am guessing I have to copy the desired clips (or track) to a new audio track which will enable me to edit the track with Audio Snap.  
 
So, I now have copied my last take into a new audio track and it appears I am able to move the transients.
