  • Can an audio Track output the audio signal to Main outputs and BUSS outputs at same time?

In Sonar X2

On the pro-channel mix screen, the [Track Output] section only allows the Track audio signal to be outputted to only one stereo channel option, like the MAIN or BUSS.

How can I output the Track audio signal to the MAIN output and a BUSS output at the same time like on a real analog mixing board, so I can output the BUSS to a headphone sub-mix amp?

I want a single audio Track to Output to more than just one output, like MAIN or BUSS only. I want to output to MAIN and BUSS at the same time from one single Track instead of having to create two separate Tracks to output to both. Can this be done like on hardware analog mixing boards?

Thanks for any info.

Use a send.

I would output the the main, and use a send to the headphone bus.

Use Sends to route your audio to another buss. A track should out to a buss and the send can also route to a buss.  You can have both going at the same time. You can have more then one send to.

You can use send pre or post processing as well as needed.

The formal name for the sends are "auxiliary buses", used in every analog console.  Aux buss (or now sends) were used to death to get extra mixes because they were limited on the consoles, unlike today where a new send can be engaged with a push of the mouse.
