Hi,

I'm opening a 8.5 project in X2. I have also got a few new Waves plugins. I'd like to start a mix from scratch in X2 and to delete all the plugs from the 8.5 project. Is there a way to globally delete all plugs from the FX bins?

Hmm... I've never done it so I'm not sure if this will work but maybe you could delete the plugs all at once in Safe Mode. I can't remember if there is a global list of all plugs in a project where this is possible.

You could start a new blank project in X2 and then import the audio from the 8.5 project. You could also disable the effects, or the entire bin, then you could keep the ones you might want to try and delete the ones you don't when you start working on individual tracks.

Hold down Shift when opening the project and it will open in Safe Mode, where you can choose whether or not to load each plugin. Just say "No to All" when it asks.

Peace,

If memory serves won't that only disable them at start up, not actually remove them? Also, it will apply to all soft synths so instruments as well as FX plugs will be disabled?

Thanks for the help. I ended up just deleting them one at a time but I think I'll try tunekicker's suggestion on the next go.

I think Sonar needs a project media/fx bay.
