Vsampler was indeed brilliant. RIP.

I'm reading some stuff on WAVBROWSER and a thing called AURALPROBE but thses seem to be click audition without a "Sampler" type feature that would allow for instant pitching of the wavs.






Dang this is hard...  

i use several dx and dxi plugins in a program called effects chainer which in turn is wrapped by jbridge. it works exceptionally well.
ill install the dxi version of vsampler and do some.experimenting to see how it goes. wont be till next week so be patient.

@Guitar Dude:  Can you "1 click" a file and play it on keys before importing it for editing?

@Kine:  Yes mate.  I saw that.  Useful no doubt but still not quite what I'm after.  Vsampler would display 1000's of samples in its Maximized interface (including sub directories) and I could navigate so easily and simply click once on a file and play on keys.


Its just how I work.  Searching for sounds takes a large amount of my time and so anything less will have a major impact.  ;<

What I've been doing is double clicking on the sound, essentially importing, but it leaves you at the library screen until you manually close.  I've been able to, via this method, use my main synth keyboard to audition the imported sound.  To me this is pretty quick, but I'll check and see if there is an even better auditioning method this evening and post back to you here.

I like and use Samplelord at times, although Kontakt is my main sampler. It has its uses. I suspect that the developer (who also has a nice little sample converter) isn't as dedicated to updating it as he once was.
