The X-Touch is a Windows "plug and play" device.
"Refresh" the X-Touch in Windows.
Connect the X-Touch then go to the Device Manager and uninstall the X-Touch. The X-Touch, assuming its connected properly, will be listed in the Sound, Video and Game Controllers section. RIGHT click on the X-Touch entry and then LEFT click "Uninstall". Then disconnect the X-Touch from the PC and restart the PC. After Windows starts, connect the X-Touch and Windows should detect and reinstall it. This "refresh" (as I call it) fixes a lot of flakey device problems.
