How do you like 8.1 ?  Worth updating ?
 

I'd just like to ask those of you who don't have a touch screen monitor, what other benefits were you hoping for and have they materialised ? I've heard people say it gives better audio performance and stability and having just watched this video of bench mark tests from rain computers it seems to be a very small benefit.
 
So, what else is great about it ?
 
Experience has taught me to hold on, wait for a few service packs and revisions before jumping in.
I do like windows 7 and I don't have (and can't afford) a touch screen monitor so..... sell it to me

I'm so thankful for you guys on the bleeding edge. Make sure the OS is rock solid before I upgrade (I'm thinking about Vista next week). 
 
I'm such a lucky guy. 

NEVER EVER EVER INSTALL A NEW OS OVER AN EXISTING OS.
 
Always install to a new partition/disk.
 
My music computer has w7-32, w7-64, and w8-64, different partitions, on OS disk.

if any of your devices have an advanced driver option,try turning it off. my A500s midi key board has one and i could never get the drivers to load in windows 8.1 preview until i turned the advanced option off.

Hopefully RME will have new drivers available by the time the full release is out.

I'm sure they will :) They're the best!
