Not a word.  probably soon and a 4th July sale probably.

So far the Groove3.com coupon is the only thing I have used.  the other packs and samples have been meh.

Agreed. As a rock guy, I find most of that content useless.

The current content club offering does not require anything but a 227MB download from your store account. Nothing to register anywhere. Cakewalk products were never part of the Content Club, from the Content Club web page:

Every other month Cakewalk will feature new content from one of our industry partners.

That's what it says, true. But considering they're giving away Z3ta+2 if you buy X2 Producer (or Studio) in July, I wouldn't mind having that.

The AAS stuff was a nice offer, but the PS PL kit for SD3 didn't work well for SD3 because it didn't have a "kit" per se--just a collection of SFZ files and a "program". All the other kits I've bought for SD3 had proper kits, which made them easier to use. I don't know if anyone else had this problem.

I haven't installed it but I haven't seen this complaint in regards to the (I'm assuming) Rock Legends kit. If it's anything like the Andy John's kit then you should be able to load it like anything else. The guys at Platinum Samples are pretty helpful. They got me up and running with the AJ kit pretty quickly.

If one wanted to save just the kit, load the program, click on the Drum button and save it away. In this case the program has no MIDI loops defined in it so it is functionally the same as a kit.

For the life of me I can't figure out why people are so nitpicky about freebies. I owned sonar for years without the content club so anything they give is a bonus whether I use it or not. The platinum samples are amazing. Who cares if one has to take a moment to make a kit. As far as some of the itmes being "useless".. I call BS. If one took a fraction of tbe time spent moaning to be ceative, some benefit can be had from anything that has been offered. The great part about free is even if it was useless, you did not lose a thing.

I would like to know if anyone has opened up these patches for Z3TA 2, you find them to loud and distorted and have to click on the limiter.  Even with the limiter on I have to turn the pads down to -12db to know what they sound like.

You guys weren't kidding about the volume.  Going through the patches was a painful experience.

Hi Gang...

I've seen a number of people mention this and yes, I too find them loud, but dealing with it is simple... I lower the volume for the synth track and then I can change patches normally and all are at a relative volume that is no longer loud...

I'd much rather have them loud such as this and lower the synth output as I get a fatter, clean..... (Used to be mostly to reduce noise but digital???).. I would hate for the samples to be very low and force me to crank gain to make 'em work! ;-)

Oh and I forgot to thank all who replied in regards to the RL serial number. Good to know it'll be there when my brain isn't completely twisted around other bullpizzle.

Regarding Z3ta; +2 vs. 1.5: Yes, they are both programmed loud. However the +2 patches clip much more than 1.5.
It seems to me these sounds were designed for a specific market. I've downloaded some free patches from CHE which seem to fall under the same style of loud and cutting. (and often clipping too).
I can't say enough of the Xenos libraries though that are wide ranged, balanced patches for the those that don't belong in that other market.
I don't understand why Cakewalk insists on charging twice as much as the developer does for the same product though. This is one of those cases where I have to continue to warn you to not buy it through Cakewalk and go to Xenos directly. It will save you about $16.00 when you buy all four sets. And they really give a better show of what else Z3ta+2 can do.
