If you adjust the fader of an unselected track whilst holding Carl, all the faders will move relative to each other.

But does he make house calls? And more importantly how much would he charge to spoon with me whilst I mix? I'm pretty stinky.

You can add them all to a Control Group. However if you mean ALL faders why not just use a bus instead? Actually even if you only want to adjust levels on a group of tracks sending them to a buss is usually a better way to go. Adjust the track levels so they sound how you like then just control the overall output from the buss.

When i send a group to a buss i seem to lose all my panning.  It's there but not quite the same.  How can i do parallel busses if i lose my panning?

Thank you

Huh... I don't know why you would lose your pan settings. Make sure the Stereo Interleave buttons on the tracks and the bus are on. If you want to send out "parallel" you can use the Sends module on the tracks (you can use quick grouping to add sends to the same bus on all the tracks to make things quicker). Read up on using Sends in the manual as they are another important part of mixing.

As far as this pan thing I think we may be reaching the limit of how much I can help. I'm still kind of a beginner myself so I may be overlooking something in regards to the routing or summing or Pre Post settings... I just don't know. If you detail exactly what you did to achieve the output to your bus and what the channel settings are then maybe I or one of the smarter dudes can troubleshoot the problem. Cheers.

And just to check something... if you used the main track output it should point to the buss you created then the bus output gets pointed to the Master buss. If you used sends and want the entire signal to go to the buss you created (and nowhere else) set the tracks main outputs to None. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Ok.....I'll check to see if i set the outputs to 'none'

THank you!

When you set it to None you will get a Missing Output warning next time you open the project. Don't worry about that because your sends are now your outputs. However you could just set the output of the track to the buss. It's the same thing really. Sends do however give you a couple extra controls. I used to do it that way for quite a while but switched back to using the main outputs and now only use sends as parallel outputs. It's just a matter of how you want to work. That may not fix your problem though. Just a wild guess.

The most important thing is you know exactly what is being outputted and to where.

Also double check those interleave buttons.

There is a lot of mixed terminology being used in this thread.

Are you routing the tracks to the bus, or using sends?  If sends, then are they pre or post fader?

Don't forget that sends have their own pan.

When i go 'Post' i get the track nearly in mono with less power.  When i go not post i get my original and no notice of my 'send'.
