The way parent tracks work as is is not ideal. We need more control over the parent track and how it deals with clips for more traditional editing. We don't always need to have take lanes open for some stuff. I've mentioned this before... have an option where the user can choose which lanes/clips are displayed and editable in the parent track. It would make comping the final takes easier without having to delete other takes (which we may decide to use instead) or having lanes open all the time while comping/editing.

Sounds like it's just something I have to deal with for now--which slows the creative process down.
I like take lanes for audio tracks. I like doing record loops and recording pass after pass of a performance w/o having to interact with the DAW.
MIDI--not so much.
