just tried to login with both an old email and new one.. and same with reset... neither work.
 
and reset password with both email addresses doesn't work either.. I'm not ringing the states wasting my money to resolve it either

yup , set to GBP..
 
it says on both counts to check my email address.. but I'm sure I read elsewhere it is keeping my original one, as the login (which I find stupid)

I understand about phoning from U.K.  Have you emailed them?
 
It is so weird, because I use my new email address, that I've only had a few months, and it works.  I don't understand why this should be so for me, and not others.
 
I log in to my GBP store account with the new email address, from any device (new Android Phone, iPad, laptop, desktop etc.) and all works fine.  It still shows my registration of Sonar 6, so it's not a new account.

I have had numerous problems with the store forgetting my log in credentials. Eventually the problem went through tech support and they manually reset everything. I was hoping the new software might fix it, but yesterday I tried to log in at the store and found out I'm forgotten again.

I've mentioned it numerous times that if one changes email they should keep
track of the one they used when creating their account.
Not long ago in a thread a member located in the UK stated he could change his account email.
That thread happened when they mailed the survey out- and questions about why many X2 users didn't get it came up.
I suggested it may because many users may have two email addresses. One being for their account and one that they can
enter for mail (that doesn't change the account email).

I was going to suggest that you try posting in the Cakewalk E-Store forum, but it has apparently vanished too.

I went thru all the music software etc I use and updated profiles relating to em, to the new one.

 Yes, I guess that was me.  If you see my earlier post, you will see that I again state that I don't know why it seems to have worked differently for me.  But it does.

Fog, a quick email/phone call to Roland UK should solve this, in my experience they have been
very prompt and helpful with any Cakewalk related issues here in the UK.
