sometimes audiosnap works and other times it wont. there is a enable/disable button and I can't seem to get it to becom enabled. Is this a known issue?  It worked 30 mins ago, and now....nothin!  I rebooted, still doesn't work. I have noticed that it seems to work intermittently. Any suggestions?

Audiosnap is buggy as all heck but I'm not sure what you mean by the enable/disable button. I usually just set the track(s) edit filter to Audio Transients and press the A key to open the Audiosnap palette.

remember tracey, the thing that gets me with autosnap when I cant enable it or disable it(as you speak of) more often than not its because I have not selected the track/ it needs to be highlighted in order for autosnap to be engaged , turned off.

@chuck: you are correct! I am an idiot!!! LOL. that was my problem.

I do have another question: I am mixing a live multi track recording. Each drum had its own mic/track. I was attempting to use audiosnap to get the transients and convert to midi so I could use Session Drummer and replace the drums. However there is some other noise / cross talk on the Tracks.  I am looking at the waves for each drum and can clearly see a peak when the drummer hit the drum on each track, which is much louder than the other noise. I can also see the wave for the noise where the drummer is not hitting the drum.  I appied audiosnap and can't seem to get just the transients that I need. The perentage slider at zero selects everything, as I slide it to the right, it is still selecting transients that are much less than the drum hits. (i'm sure that I am confusing you).  I guess I assumed the persentage slide would select transients in order of peak/volume as it increases in value. However that is not the case.  Any suggestions ?

In theory, the slider should select transients at amplitude thresholds. In practice, you might have to do some manual enabling/disabling of transients.

I am having a slightly different issue with Audiosnap. I am using X1 right now, because X2 isn't stable on my machine.

My goal is to import a mixed stereo industry track, extract the transients and then set the project tempo to match the imported audio track. I am trying to match a specific triplet feel. I remember doing this in version 6 or 7. It was something I did regularly 15 years ago with Acid. I can't figure out why it won't work now.

I have tried "Set Project to Clip" but it always sets the project to some completely random tempo and not the tempo that I selected in the Edit Clip Map, or Average Tempo pulldown menu.

Any assistance or suggestions?
