GREAT! Just got notification my Roland Studio Captures have shipped. If there is anyone out there that is using them, I would love to hear from you. My main concern is if I decide to leave my MOTU 24io installed will it cause any driver conflicts with the Studio captures. I run ASIO drivers and I know you are only allowed one driver at a time in that mode. I'm hoping that I can keep my MOTU in there until I am up to speed with the Studio Captures. Anyone want to help with some tips?

Great, do write about how it sounds and track (all channels if I'm not asking too much)! :)

Regarding ASIO driver, I have 3 installed : Quad Capture (current), Alesis firewire and Phonic firewire. No problem as only one is active at any time.

Hi,mix,
Thanks for the comfort there. I hope mine runs as well. I do intend to start a thread about my experiences with the new interfaces. I will try to keep everyone posted about the progress I make with them.

Ditto…. Regarding ASIO driver, I have 3 installed : Octa-Capture-UA1010, Quad-Capture-UA55 and UA-25 and I use one at any time.
Please do start a thread about your experiences with the new interfaces.

Capture or is it Captures singular/plural????
If it is plural will be interesting to hear what driver mode is most successful WDM/KS or WASAPI

For those of you who also have a VS 700 or VS 100, the word from Roland is that they will interface with the Octa Capture, Studio or Quad as long as the units have the latest firmware and the digital in and out jacks.  I am getting a Studio Capture next month and will interface with my VS 100.

Cheers and Good Recording.

Hey, Bent! Yea, I try to remember to keep it updated. Let's just hope I don't end up deleting the Captures from the list out of frustration! I've been doing this long enough to know the quagmire of getting new hardware to play friendly with the rest of the playground. LOL  Right now, they're sitting in Missouri somewhere. But it says they have been processed and ready for UPS as of 7:44 pm last night.

I also have two different audio interfaces. Both work when I select one at a time.

But if you have two SC, will you be able to use them both at same time? Will the asio drivers allow that? Or are the drivers written to allow compatible devices to use one driver?

Hi,Grem,
Each Studio Capture has it's own USB cable. So, you plug in to two USB ports but they both use the same driver! They are synched by the digital in out ports. One Studio Capture syncs to the clock of the other. There is extensive info on Roland's site about the hookup and how to sync up two Captures.
