Yeah, I'm not seeing collapse all in there. You can turn on the Auto track zoom and set the height of the tracks that aren't in focus to be totally collapsed then anytime you bring another track in focus the rest will collapse to their smallest height. Best I've got but I'm sure there is a collapse all binding. Can't believe it's not on my list. Fudge.

Yes man, that is what I was trying to learn. Thanks, i will try this, and let you know

As far as collapsing, i have been trying to figure it out, for at least a week.

Read up on the Sends module and the Insert Send Assistant in the manual and check out some of the various vids on youtube or here on site on the Cake University/TV page. The Sends module replaces the Insert fader stuff from Pro Tools.

And I'm glad to help. Cheers.

Here's the link to all the onsite vids...

Thanks, I am glad that this collapsing is not avail, as I tryed to do my homework I guess, that  they have some reasoning why they did not  make it possibile. If you are using zoom method as you explained, i guess you can work around it.

Naw, I'm pretty sure there's a way to do it. I just can't for the life of me remember how. Maybe one of the other guys can chime in here. Either way good luck.

When not using auto-zoom, you can use ctrl+a to select all tracks. Then hold down shift while resizing and all tracks will resize the same. There is a minimum track width though. If you want to see a view of your clips really minimized you can use the navigator (alt+n, I believe).

I also could not find shortcut  instructions, how do you minimize track view. all tracks -to one line each?

Hey PGM,
You can also set up/bind the following keyboard shortcuts if not already in Sonar default settings: P for Preferences/Advanced/Keyboard Shortcuts/
Track View,
From Beepster's list,
Zoom = CTRL + Arrow Keys (this should give you the min/max track view action you want)
From my list,
Console View, Ctrl+(whatever key makes sense to you & not already used), I use Ctrl+[ for Strips|Widen All Strips.
        "          , Ctrl+( again whatever key...     "          "          "               ), I use Ctrl+] for Strips|Narrow All Strips.
Don't forget to export/save your custom key bindings to the binding folder once you have them set up.
As far as linking effects across multiple tracks, read up on Quick Group & Control Group in the help file.  Some quick experimenting with combinations of these settings yielded some of the results I think you might be looking for.
Best,
HeyDan
