I'm working for a start up and we're waiting (blaming sales :D) to ramp up.
Been there, done that! Five years of mostly 90 hour weeks - yay...
So, craigb, now that you have a job you'll be geared up for 144 hours per week.
And waste 24 hours a week???
Actually the start of the new job has been good and bad. There hasn't been enough to do yet, but I need the extra time (albeit mostly unpaid) to train myself on what I need to do. The boss is so busy that he hasn't had time to transition enough to me yet. One of those catch-22's where he needs help but hasn't had time to train or use the help (me) much yet.
But we're getting there! I've actually spent more time during the last two weeks to get this ************* piece of **** software called Windows 10 to be stable and do what I want it to do - not what it wants. Besides all of the parts that obviously haven't been cooked enough, the entire focus seems to be on using ONLY Microsquish's apps and app store. Even when you specifically tell it that you want to use a different app for your browser, photos or music it will still find a way to send things to its apps instead. Very frustrating! God forbid that you need to use an app that's not "approved" by MS! It disappears from context menus (i.e., right-click stuff) and from system setup areas (like choosing a default app to use for a file extension). Even when you break down and try using one of their apps, it returns the favor by breaking down as well! Bah....
