I posted something to this effect a long time ago and got a response from Noel in which he explained that this naming scheme was inserted to that SONAR can match the clip to the project(s) it is associated with.  I can't see why that can't be imbedded into the meta data instead of effecting the clip/file name.

I export the same way the original poster does from a master buss.
 
Sonar does put a suffix of the buss name on the output file. This does not appear to be optional.
 
If you export the total output then it does not but then you have control the output level to your monitors from somewhere else.
 
When monitoring I use the output level to control the speaker volume. That is why I use the buss. The original poster probably does it the same way.
 
I think he is just looking for some sort of output filename mask definition to allow him to slug in metedata on the export.
 
Not a terrible idea.

I do not get any additional suffix and I'm using the same exact program as you. Check your export properties and select the correct output source and it will not happen to you.
