Bought this because I want to start podcasting. I installed Sonar X1 LE 1.
 
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the software. I watched a few tutorials and managed to work out how to record an audio track, but what the hell is that clicking when you press record? Not only is it annoying but you can actually hear it in the background when you play it back.
 
Why is it there and how do I get rid of it?

It's not the metronome you're talking about? We don't know what you're hearing so a little more detailed explanation might help. In the preferences you can choose when you want metronome to be audible.
