You can also purchase a full set of 8.5 DVD’s even if you bought the download from our web store.

Is this easy to do? A lot ask about this but seem to spend a while getting it sorted.

You need to contact CS either by email or phone (better) and they'll hook you up.

If you contact them by email, you'll get a link that takes you to a page (in the Cakewalk Store) where you can make the purchase.

Noel,

I have a question for you sir.

Will I save significant CPU resources by making sure I insert either VST or DX effects, but not both kinds on each FX Bin?  It seems one can avoid constant De-Interleaving/Re-Interleaving processes that way.  But maybe this is on such a low scale that it wouldn't really matter?

Thanks in advanaced!

Thanks Noel.

I have to admit for me this would have sold me on 8.5 way more that the "Tweet a day" idea but Marketing isn't doing it for me they are trying to entice new customers with that type of stuff.

Lots of challenging pieces here you guys worked on.  I have 8.5 installed on my PC and I notice quite a bit of the things you talk about and how it has improved.  Well done to all.

You state this...

Help is on hand

This seems great and the best part is I haven't even see it!  Which means 8.5 is working great!  Can't wait for the fix for the Superior 2 stuff.

Thanks again for the informative thread and showing us why our money was well spent.

Jose,

The hit is pretty minor if its a single effect here or there so I wouldn't worry about it. With many effects it can add up. The constant interleaving/deinterleaving also takes a toll since it prevents the processor cache from being used as efficiently as it could.

BTW: I just added a few more items to the BitBridge topic.

Nice!  Thanks for the info Noel.  And great job you guys did with Sonar 8.5.

Just wanted to add that, regardless of what others may have said, I actually like the direction you're taking with the new Sonar nomenclature.

Keep up the good work!

Oooh, I like the "Toggle VST editor" feature in the new detach Bitbridge window.  Nice touch!
