Maybe it's because I started using X2 again after a long reprieve but I have encountered yet another weirdness today.

I have a MIDI bass track in X2a. I then created a new MIDI track and dragged another bass track over from another project in X1 over to it.

Slick!

Only when I open them both together in PRV the notes from the new track are on the scale below the old one.

SCREENSHOT:

PRV says they are not the same key even when opening the properties box.

This comes back to the previous problem of one project not opening in [link=mailto:X@a]X2a[/link] but will in X1. At the moment this is the only way I can retrieve this project in X2a, since some of the plugins only work in X2a. Most aggravating.

the only thing I can come up with is that these might be tuned differently,
one is @440/the other is @435.
this would indeed make up for the note difference.
just check the tuning on the different synths tracks.

Is it possible that pitch bend was on one of the synths?  I know that is a very long shot but that is all I can think of other than the different tuning that Charlie said.  That is besides a bug.

Thanks chuck! That was simple.

Yep! I still can't get used to the KEY function being in the Inspector rather than right clicking the track properties.
