Anyone knows of a plug-in that can analyze midi chords in sonar X2? One that works, ideally... thanks

Band in a box, but it's standalone.

A quick search found this, I have no information as to its reliability or how to use it though:

hmm... tried that free one, but it's a vst and I don't think you can configure them as a midi plug-in and just sticking it in the audio track doesn't seem to work, sadly :(

Hi, the one i use is PizChord Analyser.

you will need to insert this as an Audio track then set the input from the Instrument MIDI track.

hope it helps... Cheers!!!

Aah, thanks! I had to route the midi track output to the plugin instead of the synth whose audio track has the vst inserted, that's what I was doing wrong. A workaround for live playback is simply to clone the midi track and use that. The plugin appears to work very well.

@cakewalk... see? it can be done! I suggest "borrowing" their code if it's too hard to pull off ;)

Hey COOL stuff at that site.  I downloaded a bunch of their little utilities, and will try them out.
