Hi all, I have a question about the FX bin in CW Producer 8.5.3    Ok so here is the situation. When I right click on the FX bin to search for a plug in on the default menu to use, I am not seeing the Boost 11 (Linear Eq, Linear comp, etc) and other standard Cw processors all of a sudden. they seemed to have disappeared from the list.   I also see a folder from my back up USB drive included on the list that I have never added to the Plug In manager but contain some other plug ins I used to have there.  I searched in my "C:/ drive" and all the folders are there containing the .dll files for the missing CW plug ins like Boost 11, etc. I repointed the CW Plug in manager to search those files and found some of them here:  (C:\programfiles(x86)\cakewalk\vstplugins ) and even tried uninstalling my CW and reinstalling it. I noticed that on my C drive there is another folder listed as  "Vstplugins" that isn't in the Cakewalk folder but contains all the missing things i am looking for. (I tried to point the PI manager there but it never lists what's in it.) I also tried to only install the items I've noticed were missing prior to reinstall. I also know about creating custom menus but I want to try to get CW back to stock install condition to kind of start over with setting it up again now that I have a better understanding of CW. (well except for this haha) So when I uninstalled it it seems that it never 100% uninstalled from my system and has some piece of code it uses to install it again as it was but the problem is that it installs exactly the way I want to fix. (I even went into the reg and deleted all the Cw files i could find) So is there a way to clear the FX bin menu in the stock set up to remove locations that should not be being listed? Or is there a way to completely wipe CW and set it back to default clean install condition again?

thank you for your help yet again.

Update: I think i got it back to normal. I missed a few folders in the reg and one on My docs(PDF) I reinstalled it all and it seems to all be back without the extra folder search.

Sonar never completely uninstalls just like most software. It leave a few folders behind. You have to manually delete them.

And what I do with my plug ins is copy paste the dll's  to the main Cakewalk plug in folder. I have a few third party and then some from Cubase and Wavelab. I leave the originals alone and just copy/paste them. Seems to work better then the scanning thing.

I have a folder on my external back up drive with every plug in I have ever stumbled across. Some seem to install as software, but most are just the dll files and are easy to work with.
