I have occasional trouble manually playing soft synths from a master keyboard. A pre-recorded midi track is played back fine (using Dimension for example), and during that playback I can access the synth and play it just fine.
As soon as the playback track is stopped, I can see that i am sending midi activity to the correct synth output but no sound is heard. I have checked the obvious,
but any youse folks experiience this? Audio Engine issue? Sample rate difference?  I looked at all the midi ch. assignments and they appear to be OK. Man this grinds my gears! Stumped.
I'd rather be fighting a life size chicken...
Thanks

Is this a duplicate? I thought I answered this already. Look at the Event List view on the pre-recorded MIDI track to make sure its not turning down the volume at the end of the project.

There is also an option in the preferences that returns the synth to 0. You can uncheck that. That is a problem for me if I use the Aria player.

If your trying to play your keyboard, make sure the midi track's input and the that midi track is in focus.

Thanks for the responses and yes I posted in wrong forum initially....but thanks for answering.
It appears that when I stop the project, there is a dropout warning and the Audio Engine quits.
So I just re-initialize engine and all is well. Maybe Dimpro is throwing a resource/patch reset spike when the project is stopped via spacebar...well, mystery kinda solved and an easy work-around.
Keeping calm and carrying on...
