I have an Acer desktop computer,
Win 7 Pro Service Pack 1
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+
2.3 ghz
2GB RAM
32 bit OS

Task manager recognizes 2 cpu's but Sonar X2 doesn't. There is only 1 bar in the cpu meter and it is almost always maxed out.

How do I get X2 to see both cpu's?

Edit / Preferences / Audio / Advanced View / Configuration File / ThreadSchedulingModule

Set it to 2 and see if that works.

Setting ThreadSchedulingModule to 2 didn't make any difference. Neither did 0.

Are you using onboard graphics built into your motherboard or a dedicated AGP, PCI, or PCIe graphics card with it's own GPU that relieve the CPU of processing tasks? Some AMD chips will dedicate one core for graphics using onboard graphics.

I can tell you that I had to uncheck the multiprocessing engine in audio/playback and recording to get rid of lots of pops and crackle. not sure if this is related

Yes, the 'Use Multiprocessing Engine' option could be it. I knew there was an option somewhere but it doesn't exactly pop out.
