Hi friends , i just wanted long time users to reporte their experience withe sinarworks headphone...

I just tried it and it sound so unatural that i have to use the mix at 60 max ...or resonanec appears ....dt 990 pro here

Any experience ? Worth 50 euros in sale ?

I use AKG 702's and the sonarworks plugin has been great for me in flattening the sound.
I guess it did sound unnatural at first but definitely confirmed what I already knew about my tendency to overcook the bass end to compensate for the lack of lows in the cans. With the plug in I can mix knowing that the results will be more even, provided I remember to disable it before exporting.
:)
it also now has the same spectral balance as the room and speakers, which means I am hearing almost the same sound using either

I use ATH-M50's and it's been a godsend.

The entire idea is to "flatten" or make "reference" your sound,
so any frequencies that headphones might normally "hype" is going
to sound "different"...

I am with Larry - I use the ATH-M50s and once you get used to the flatness, they're excellent.

I am using ath40x. Same comment like everyone. Flatten and clear.

thks guyz i hear you  , the thing is that i have great monitors calibrated and the result are far from it , my mixes on my monitors are spot on ... , i listened to some refernce track in reference  and when i take those of ans switch to my gen's or Quested ....it's to much , i have to be at 60 % to keep it coherent ...also i find the imaging to be less wide then

Another Sonarworks fan here. Does wonders for my AKG Q701, ATH-M50X and even my Sony 7506.
I also have the room calibration software and that works excellent as well.

One of my best purchases in fact.

I had the same initial reaction when listening to my ATH-M50x's through it. Couldn't believe how different it sounded, to the point where I had to triple check all my settings. A couple of months later and I don't know how I even managed without it! When I flick it off the bass and treble sound so artificially enhanced.
