Yes,  there should be a driver mode in SONAR permitting playback through the KEFs. Hopefully there is a solution that will allow 24bit recording with the POD and playback through the KEFs. If not, being forced to record at 16bit would be a big trade-off in order to use the KEFs.

The KEFs are not designed for DAW use from what I can tell. They are good computer speakers. There is no way for Sonar or any other DAW to deal with them. The idea is they would make good media speakers for WMP but not a DAW. This is very little different from USB mics. 
 
Also its not Sonar that doesn't have a audio driver mode support. Its supports all drivers that can run on Windows. Its the lack of drivers form the KEF makers.

No argument just trying to provide a solution with the tools at hand. There are certainly solutions that might be more suitable but that was not the question I was addressing.
