I stumbled upon this thread while looking to see if i could drag clips split in audiosnap  to the matrix view.  I have not found much use for Matrix view but I always try to give features a second or third look from time to time.  I figured if I could break a loop up and drag right matrix, it might be a useful way to manipulate them. I have converted slices to groove clips and tried "apply trimming" and nothing i do seems to make those clips able to simply be dropped on to the matrix. Am I doing something wrong?

Never knew Battery had this functionality, that's pretty neat, will have to try that. Those who don't have battery but do have Kontakt can easily do something similar in the wave editor, without even having to convert the audio to an acid loop. Look up Mapping Slices Automatically in the manual.

Wow - I was literally about to ask this same question today. I imagine we have both watched the same YouTube video showing how to do it on Ableton.
