Thanks Guys!

It looks as tho we have uncovered something...

Now to get The Bakers to look into it! I'll add a note to my problem report but it would sure help if everyone finding this reports it as well so t gets noticed for sure!

Even though I didn't experience it I think its an important find and it should be reported.

Keni did a good job in spotting this. I don't know if I would have noticed if it had happened to me.

Hi John...

Thanks, but sure you would notice it... things will typically sound very different changing the pre/post setting of this and as you already know what it should sound like before the cloning, you expect it to sound the same on the cloned track... It took very little investigation to find that the status was wrong and then realize how it happened (a few trial and error moves)...

As they already closed my report as unable to reproduce, I just started another and included the CWBRN of the original... I also included a note for them to check this topic in the forum...

Here's hoping they do so we can try to track this bugger down! ;-)

Hi Keni.

I've just tried this on one of my systems and the Post Fx sticks when cloning a track.

Ill try it on my other machines later on and report back

I get the same results as guitartrek, if I turn off Post on a different track and go back to the original track and clone it again with Post still on, the Cloned track has Post turned off.

Thanks Dan...

We're starting to see something in common and repeatable now...(Tho here it always clones off/pre)

Could be related to some preference setting that is different on yours than mine as to why it always fails on yours, but with mine I have to go through a couple steps before it fails.  I bet if all the settings were the same on everyone's system the software would behave the same way.  I'm sure the settings are the same or similar on your two systems, because they are your personal preferences - and that's why you get consistent results with both your systems.  My settings are undoubtedly different than yours, as are other peoples settings.

Which settings do you think might be related? I can try changing such and see if it affects anything...
