figure this is worth at least one bump.....

Yes, it is. Great energy, nice pickin'. Is there some kind of "preverb" as the vocal sweeps in? Sounds great, whatever it is. You managed to play like a jazz virtuoso and still make a rockin' record. Slick!

Wow, sound fabulous and great playing!
Had a little Yes moment and some Jon Anderson similarities!
Super!

my favourite part was the reversed cymbal effect at the start!

As per usual, top notch delivery and production. Great guitar riff, plenty of energy.

You know I enjoy your tunes.... this is no exception...  so as the song was ending, I went downstairs for a few minutes and came back up to hear Interstate Sun..... that is one of my favorite DP songs of all time....and they have a lot of really, really good stuff..... your cover is impeccable. As good or better (dare I say that?) than the band itself.

I saw DP one time.... after Blackmore left. Bolan was on guitar that evening.

Bat, you are totally dialed in on this mix. I've listened to it six times +, listening for some small hiccup.
Nothing,man. It just glides.
Tight performance, good vocals, awesome tone on the guitars.
I really like that Knopfleresque riff at 3:29.
Nicely done.

thanks robert!
knopfler, he's so good.
i dig his stuff.

This is your usual brilliant production. As always, I tend to use your productions as a kind of template for my own. Keep on inspiring!

production templates!!! alright!
LOL, well, on second thought, maybe you shouldn't use mine!
might lead you astray.....

driving and laid back at the same time

Yes, I like how you held it in check, really got a nice tension going there. Another fine track Bats, happened to have my LP strapped on so I was jamming along

that's so cool james,
if it makes you want to play along, rock on.
thanks for listening

Gonzo man love that intro!  loved that acoustic sound!

this one reminded me of an old Yes song!  nice work

thanks beagle,
i can't imagine which yes song it would be,
but that's cool that it reminds you of something that cool,
i dig the early old yes stuff, anything prior to DRAMA......

an AT4033, about a foot and a half away, pointing near the base of neck joint, thru a cleanish preamp, and a bit of squish on it.

heheh, thanks larry....
i appreciate that sentiment!

the effect, is actually a vocal track, copied and reversed, and shifted and blended in just as the first regular vocal kicks in.....
it worked like a charm.
and this is an easy thing to do....

whack,
i don't think there is any percussion or cymbal in that effect,
it's all reversed vocal,
i had to find a point at the end of that first word,
to get that 'attack' part of the wav file,
so it almost sounds like the edge of a stick on a cymbal....
thanks for listening
