Yeah, simple recording technique but the acoustic sounds great!   Love the layers, yet they're real transparent.

Cool song all around.   And great vocals, as always... Reminded me a little of Geoff Tate in spots.

appreciate the critique stevec,
geoff tate, never heard that one before, but that's cool,
he's got an excellent voice, i've even heard him more recently, still good.

yes, simple techniques seem to work the best for me,
everytime i start going off the deep end with that stuff,
i end up deconstructing it!
LOL

I can hear Geoff Tate as well.  You're a bit mellower perhaps, but similar stylings.

I love the layered acoustic rhythms.  Really tight playing and production.  Great track!

waltenstein,
thanks for listening to this one,
it's funny, it might feel tight,
but the primary acoustic guitar rhythm part was a first take,
i was just trying to figure out what to do,
and ended up just copying what i had done the first time, a second time,
and then laying harmony chord work on top of that.

sometimes the first pass is the keeper.
i think it's sloppy,
but i guess 'loose, but tight' applies sometimes

Great musicianship and vocal work. I like the meandering melody. Really good.

thanks for listening, pastor....
appreciate it.

yea, i guess it IS a meandering melody.
it needed to meander, to not be 'typical'.
