Nice song.

Prodwise I'd say the drums are spread nice but the guitars seem to be stepping on each other. They could be spread more. JMO.

eva's got a great voice.

i love the mellow vibe of this song....
nice chords and arrangement,
but i don't care for the 'beat turnaround' at the last section of the song,
didn't work for me, felt forced and not in the pocket.

i personally don't like the slapback (predelay) on the drums,
especially on the snare....
it's distracting the stereo field,
seems to throw it to the left... and seems to make the drums float over the music rather than be part of it.

i'd also prefer to hear more meat on the kick, to give it a bit more fullness....

but it's a nice song, those are just subjective mix suggestions.

Warren,  this is fantastic!  It makes me look forward to summer.  Everyone involved in this just shined.  Way to go.

Eva, Mark & Warren - this is great!

boy you've spread that drum kit out in the stereo field!  I'm not too fond of that myself, but eh...it's not a song killer!
Eva's voice is great on this!
love the BGV's too!
nice CLEAN guitar Mark!!! love the solo!
bass sounds great too, Warren!

I hadn't heard this tune in a long time. I think I probably would have mixed this differently today - but hey, it was a long time ago and I think the essence of this tune that Warren wrote was really cool.

We've recorded a few with Eva (Warren's sister) and she always sounds like a pro to me - love recording with her.

Thanks Warren for posting this - enjoyed.

whack
Like the intro, answering guitars and the harmonica.

The vocals very strong

Is there a piano in this, a nice tinkle on the right hand would go nice in the verse

Was expecting more of a punch for the chorus "sitting on my porche swing", driving bass and dirstorted bar chords, not too heavy, but to announce the chorus.

I too thought the delay on the snare hit, to messy for me.

Awesome work, the rest of the drums sound good and the bg harmonies aswell as the guitars are all ace.

Drm-Thanks for listening and commenting.

Ed-Thanks.  Mark is checking all the mix suggestions.  This song is 6 or 7 years old, one our first together so I don't know that anything will change now.  They always come handy for the future.

Daryl- Thanks for listening and commenting.  You are putting out some nice stuff, buddy!

Rob- Thanks for listening and your suggestions.  Mark reads them all.  I don't know what you are talking about as far as the beat turnaround goes.  you know you have to talk slow when talking to me.  Chuckle.  Serioulsy, I've listened about 5 times to hear that and can't.  Can you give me a time?  Interesting.  Thanks, buddy.
