  • Izotope Nectar Elements iLok Activation issue on Machine (Solved)

Hi - I don't even remember when or how I picked it up, but I was looking through my downloads folder and realized I never installed iZotope_Nectar_Elements_v1_00 on my PC.

SOOOOO, install went fine, but it seems to ONLY allow iLOK Activation to occur on an actual iLOK device, rather than to my computer, as EastWest allows.

Is there any way I can get the above resolved, without having to actually buy one of those actual iLOK 2 devices?

Probably got from XLN as a freebie. I just looked in in my iZotope account, Nectar Elements supports both C/R and iLok.

NEVER MIND - I went to the Izotope site and reviewed a video on the multiple authorization methods they support, then went back into Sonar and inserted an instance of Izotope Nectar Elements into a project, which then launched the Authorization Dialog Box window.

This time, I realized my prior mistake.  I had checked the box to tell it to use iLOK authorization, thinking it would use my iLOK account, but actually having that checked told it to try to use an actual iLOK device for holding the authorization info.

I simply removed that check from the Use iLOK box and submitted it, with my iLOK User ID filled in, and it worked like a champ.

So, this one is indeed solved.  I hope this may help someone else who is new to dealing with iLOK authorizations. :)

Well done Bob!

I also like the way you gave yourself the best answer award.

Well, I only did that so that if anyone else came along looking for a fix for the same issue, that they would see that it was resolved.

It DID feel nice to get a pat on the back so quickly though - sssssshhhhh don't tell anyone I did that - hee hee.

In any case, while I was looking through my iZotope account online, I noticed they had several free plugins too, so I downloaded those last night, and am about to install those this morning.  I also posted the freebies in the Deals forum.

The additional free plugins they offer are: TAN, Ochre, Red, Nebula3, and Stratipad Swedish.  All are available as 32-bit and 64-bit.  If I like the freebies, I will likely circle back to the site and take a long look at their other plugins - for potential purchase.

The documentation for them IS a bit odd, just because of translation to English issues, but it is still readable, and I was able to understand what they were intending to convey.

This is confusing as you are talking about Izotope, but listing Acustica plugins...just an FYI...

WOW - I think I better go get some more coffee! I DID end up finding those Acoustica plugins at around the same time I was dealing with the iZotope Nectar Elements authorization, but WOW did I just do a 'swing and a MISS' in my earlier post connecting the two companies.

I think I will go back and lay down for a while, and start my day again.

THANKS for letting me know! :)

Speaking of Acoustica......which of those plugs do you recommend or use regularly?

Just for the sake of clarity...

There is "Acoustica", who makes the Mixcraft DAW software
and "Acustica" that makes the plugins...
