I'm a month in getting acclimated to progressive lenses, and just now starting to be able to walk without tripping over my feet. The parallax distortion is still annoying and occasionally startling - when I suddenly realize the car in the next lane is RIGHT THERE, not a car-length behind me like I thought.
 
If I had to do it again I'd go with two pair of glasses.

Yeah bit, I can't / don't walk around with mine - I only use them at my desk. Top part for the computer, bottom for reading. When I walk around I feel sick... :/
