I have some songs that I am going to have mixed by someone else... Mainly cause he doesn't have all the same plug-ins that I used...

How do I export all my tracks into WAV files all at once? Thanks!

Use the export function.

  1. In the "Source Category" selector choose "Tracks".
  2. Highlight all the tracks you want to export.
  3. Set your other preferences - Mix enables etc.
  4. Click okay.
You'll end up with separate tracks called "Your Project - Your track name".

Thanks for the quick response....

Real quick, should I remove dithering?

Yes. you don't want to dither at this stage.

I'd also add to Colin's reply that you only need to dither when you reduce file bit depth.

That should onlybe done once ideally. Keep the bit depth as high as possible for as long as possible.

Oh, one more question.... Again, because I am exporting these for someone else to mix, Channel Format.... Do I go with Stereo or Mono???

Depends on the instrument or track. As a rule of thumb I use mono on most instruments and stereo for synths. Might be best asking the person doing the mixing though.

Mono Vocals as well?

Also, if I am exporting all my tracks out as WAV files all at once, how do I select some to mixdown in stereo and others in mono?

Would I just do 2 mix-downs then, one for stereo and one for mono, selecting the appropriate tracks?

Also, for example my drums I used Steven Slate Drums as a soft synth plug-in, so you recommend mixing that track down in stereo unless the guy I have mixing it wants it in mono?

Thanks...

Vocals in mono. I'd also use separate drum tracks for each drum - all mono. If you send a stereo wave for all the drums you've effectively already mixed them and left little room for any change there.

Yes do the mono as one batch and any stereo as two.
